Only the Beginning: Murdock Celebrates 170 Years of Innovation

Murdock Manufacturing is something special.

Most companies don’t make it to celebrate their first anniversary, let alone a hundred. Murdock Mfg., on the other hand, has made it to 170 years, earning it the title The Oldest Active Plumbing Manufacturer in the United States. That’s something to be proud of, and that’s something to celebrate.

And celebrate Murdock did, last weekend in its Cincinnati birthplace. More than 300 reps, customers, employees, and other celebrants showed up not only to celebrate the storied Murdock legacy, but to look forward to the future.

For Murdock isn’t laying down to rest now that 170 years of innovation are behind it; instead, it’s innovating more effectively than ever before. A company doesn’t make it 170 years by doing the same thing over and over again; it learns to stay current, relevant, and keep improving—and this is how it lasts, decade after decade, from century to century.

For Murdock, 170 years is only the beginning.
