Option: Above Ground, Freeze Resistant Valve Bi-Level Unit

Model A0000000-FRA4 is an above ground freeze resistant valve system for use with specially equipped bi-level wall mounted fountains with push-button pneumatically actuated valves.

FRA4 consists of two Boxes. Each FRA Box consists of Pneumatic Valve(s) with Check Valve to drain residual water, Stop and Strainer assembly, P-trap Waste with Funnel Waste Adapter. FRA Box is intended for surface mounting to wall, fabricated from heavy gauge galvanized steel, with louvered Cover secured with vandal resistant Fasteners and includes openings for supply and waste. The units are installed on the inside wall where the room temperature does not drop below 50°F (10°C). When the valves go to the off position, the water left in the supply lines and bubblers drains back into the waste tubes, inside the cabinets. This permits the fountains on the outside wall to function year-round. Unit shall adhere to NSF/ANSI 61, Section 9.

INSTALLATION

This option requires locating the FRA Boxes on an interior wall directly behind Drinking Fountain/Bottle Filler fixture in a room with temperatures that remain above freezing. Installer shall ensure that wall penetrations are properly sealed and/or insulated to suit wall construction and site conditions.
